Our Paravartana course that provides a fundamental
training on Vedic Dharma, commonly called Hinduism and the possibility of future request of
embracing Vedic Dharma with the blessings of our Guruji, Swami Shankaratilakananda
Paramahamsa.
Paravartana means "coming back home". It is believed that we were Vedic in our previous lives
and so we find each other life after life to walk hand in hand for our spiritual development and
enlightenment.
The course consists of the flowing topics:

What is the sacrament of Paravartana, its importance.

Who is Vedic? The difference between Hinduism and Vaidika Dharma or Sanathana Dharma
LESSON 3
Differences between Vaidika Dharma and Mleksha dharma. Understanding other religions through the concept of Apaurusheya, Shradha, Moksha, God, Karma, Purna Janma.
LESSON 4
The most important Vedic faiths today, Smartism, Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism.
LESSON 5
Explanation of the Vedic scriptures.
LESSON 6
Explanation of the Vedic scriptures. The importance of the Sanskrit language. What is Prasthanatraya.
LESSON 7
Gayatri Upasana. Process, mantras and their significance.
LESSON 8
The Yagnyopavita, its significance and use.
LESSON 9 and 10
The 16 sacraments.
LESSON 11 and 12
The Vedic Sadhachara: general guidelines of behavior in front of the masters, in the temples, the religious marks, guidelines for hygiene, dressing, food.
Donation, japa, selfless service.
LESSON 13
The most important Vedic festivals. Their significance and way of celebration.
LESSON 14
The temples, their structure and its meaning.
Tirthas (kutira, ashram, pitha, gurukula, shakti pitha, rivers, mountains).
LESSON 16
God, Gods. The most important Vedic deities, their symbology.
LESSON 17
Yoga, the master-disciple relationship, Parampara.
LESSON 18
Basic Teachings of the masters of the Vaidika Pratisthana.
LESSON 19
Unfolding the Paravartana sacrament. Request, godparents, process, meaning, celebration.
LESSON 20
Guru Arati. Elements, a process of making and meaning.
LESSON 21
How does a vedic fulfill his mission of learning, practice and education through a relationship with a sangha and in the society. The different levels of helping with the diffusion of dharma: SEVA, DANA, UPADESHA.

After completing the course and performing the corresponding sacrament, the Upanaya samskara
you receive the key to the ancient scriptures, the Vedas, that opens the door of Self-knowledge.
You will enter to the supreme university of life that teaches you all that you need to live a healthy,
holy and happy life.
