Code of conduct

Please read carefully

Through these requirements we aim to create a situation free of disturbance, which allows the complete dedication and devotion to the present moment, so that all participants have the opportunity to imbue their Yoga practice with spiritual depth.

The rules and regulations are listed below to which students must commit for the smooth functioning of the program.

The course requires complete dedication both on the part of the teacher and on the part of every student. Therefore it is recommended to avoid distraction. In this regard, students should not actively seek external stimuli or participate in activities not connected with Yoga. Prior to the start of the program students will arrange everything they may need for the duration of the course. Regarding reading books, students are encouraged to read only material related to Yoga and Vyayam.

Students are expected to devote themselves entirely to the course, giving undivided attention and presence during class. Complete trust in the teacher and the teaching method are required. In the event the student feels unwell, it is still essential to attend all classes everyday.

Students are expected to be punctual for all sessions of the course.

The environment outside the Ashram cannot be controlled.

Tolerance of external disturbances, on the part of students, is requested. The Course requires the student's utmost dedication and openness to his/her own personal growth, which means readiness for change and transformation. Students should be moderate in terms of the amount of food they eat. Any intake of food apart from the three main meals provided by the Ashram is strictly avoided; one should be aware that overeating is detrimental to the purpose of the course. It is also recommended that the students go to sleep early in the evening to ensure full presence in class. During the Course each participant is required to suspend any personal spiritual practice and to concentrate only and fully on the practice being taught during the course.

Positive criticism is welcome in order to enhance the quality of learning and exploration.

Each participant should be completely aware of his/her thoughts, speech, and actions.

Couples participating in the course may continue to share their accommodation; they should however avoid interrupting the individual process of each other. If one partner is not a participant, couples are required to separate during the duration of the course.

No drugs are to be consumed during the course. The term "drug" not only refers to illicit drugs, but to alcohol, cigarettes and other stimulants (such as coffee) as well.

Participants are encouraged to drop their habits 3-4 weeks prior to the start of the course to avoid experiencing withdrawal symptoms during the program.

Terms and Conditions

A deposit (50% of total amount) is to be paid in order to secure a place in the courses. Students should submit deposits only if they are sure of their ability to comply with the course requirements, the code of conduct, as well as the terms and conditions of payment. This deposit is non refundable.

Registration Acceptance

The educative committee and/or the administration of the Vedic Foundation of Himalayas can, according to its criteria, accept or reject the admission of a petitioner. The right to admit and exclude are reserved.

Refund policy

In the case of activities, that require a paid registration, once the registration is complete the amount will not be refunded under any circumstances nor will be exchanged for another activity whatever the personal reasons may be.

In exceptional circumstances and in the case that the participant decides to voluntarily leave the course or program or they hire another type of activity and decide not to start the course, then a 30% refund will be given which will be returned within 48 hours of the received payment.

The whole amount will only be refunded in the case that an application has been rejected once it has been formalized or the program is suspended before commencing. If the activity has already begun and the program organization decides to unsubscribe a registered participant for whatever reason, the amount paid will be returned and the appropriate amount discounted from the proportional part of the days already consumed. The same will happen if the organization cancels an already initiated program. The registration amount will be refunded not before 15 days.
